Ho Ho Ho
Christmas has come and gone and it is officially 364 days to Christmas haha! (Unless, like the song goes, you celebrate it for 12 days...with a partridge in a pear tree~)
Christmas is my favourite day of the year and I am really thankful to celebrate it with loved ones :)
How was your Christmas?
In the midst of the festivities, I think it is quite cool to think how it all started. The story of Jesus and His birth is probably familiar to most - how He was born in a manger, a star appeared and 3 wise men visited him and angels appeared to shepherds etc etc
It sounds just like a fantastical story right? And it is. Jesus was the ONLY baby born to die. I was just thinking about it and was mindblown. If you have ever seen a newborn, you will understand what I mean when I say that they all have this "fresh out of heaven" feeling. I mean, a new life; which previously did not exist, just entered Earth. How amazing is that? Death is the last thing on our minds when we see a newborn, but the reverse was probably true for Jesus.
He came, knowing full well what He had to go through, just for us, just for love. This is crazy. The even crazier thing is that I know, if you or I had been the only ones He had to die for, He would have done it. What precious amazing love.
If this Christmas, you feel that you have been left out, or forgotten, or perhaps it has simply been a bad year...have hope that Immanuel, God is with us, and He is mighty to save :) Can't wait till the next Christmas!
